Program Description / Services
The goal of the Live Smoke Free project is to reduce nonsmokers’ exposure to secondhand smoke where they live, work and develop using environmental policy change strategies. The program provides no cost workshops, individual technical assistance and resources for public and private multi-unit housing administrators, college campuses and municipalities interested in adopting no smoke-free policies with particular attention to disparate populations.
Technical assistance topics include the benefits of adopting a smoke-free policy, cultivating and engaging stakeholders, policy implementation steps, legal issues, promoting cessation, enforcement strategies and evaluation.
