Program Description / Services
The program’s staff provide technical assistance to property managers, property owners, and residents on the benefits of smoke- and vape-free housing policy. Periodically, Smoke-Free Multi-Unit Housing MiniGrants are offered to affordable housing providers to help defray the costs of going smoke-free. A SmokeFree Public Housing Toolkit which was distributed to all public housing providers and available on the Department’s website. The program provides tobacco cessation resources and information on health effects, as well as sample policies, surveys, and lease addendums.
